At International English School in Halmstad, we make a difference in our students' lives. Today, the school consists of approximately 585 students in grades 4-9 and about 55 staff members who work closely together to contribute to a safe and developing learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a flex teacher/special teacher in English and Mathematics for our flex program.

As a flex teacher, you will teach students in smaller groups within both the SUND and flex programs, where instruction is conducted in Swedish. The work involves adapting teaching to the individual needs and conditions of the students, focusing on structure, clarity, and relationship-building.

At IES Halmstad, we work to ensure that all students reach their full potential and feel safe and comfortable in school. In the flex program, you will work closely with colleagues, student health, and school management to create the best possible conditions for students' development, both academically and socially.

You will plan, implement, and evaluate instruction in English and Mathematics and actively contribute to the development of the flex program. An important part of the role is to create a calm, safe, and stimulating learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to succeed.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed teacher, preferably with special education qualifications, with a focus on English and Mathematics. Experience working with students in need of special support and teaching in smaller groups is an advantage.

You have a positive and solution-focused view of people and a good ability to create safe and trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You are clear in your communication, structured in your approach, and easily adapt teaching to the individual needs of the students.

As a teacher with us, you find it enjoyable, stimulating, and meaningful to work with students who need extra support to succeed in their schooling. You are motivated by seeing students develop and achieve success, and you enjoy working closely with other professionals within the school.
